Every book I read helps educate a child in India
Hello Friends,
My name is Anushka.
I am participating in Pratham Readathon 2013 because I want to help less fortunate children attend Pratham schools and learn to read, write and count well. Pratham is a not-for-profit organization that is educating millions of kids in India since it was founded in1994. It is very well known and has won many international awards for its work in child literacy and education. Pratham USA raises funds and awareness in the US for this cause. Please visit www.prathamusa.org for more information.
Pratham needs only $25 to educate one child for one whole year. I love to read because when I read, I can learn a lot, meet new people, discover new places, find new ideas, improve my vocabulary, use my imagination and never get bored! I am so happy that with your donation, my reading will help many other children. I am going to read 15 books. Please support me and make a donation to Pratham USA today.
How not to babysit your brother (sent June 24)
This is a book I did not relate to. It is about a boy named Will who has to babysit his little brother Steve as their mother is out and their grandma has fallen asleep. Steve does all sorts of wild and crazy things.
I don’t think my baby brother is like that at all. He is really sweet and does not do any of the things like Steve does.
So I did not enjoy this book too much, although some parts were funny.
