I love his lasagna & chocolate chip cookies. But this is about more than that.
I’ve worked for many years for “good” causes: teaching science; championing technology and teaching skeptics how to use it to improve people’s lives; and advocating for better education, better housing and better communities with more civically-engaged citizens. This has taken me to something like 24 countries and enabled me to work for some important missions and with some remarkable people.
From that mix, a few leaders and organizations stand apart. The leaders are ones who bring exceptional wisdom, kindness, integrity and authenticity to their work. They bring each one of those things and all of the time. I carry notions of these people in my head and, in difficult situations, ask myself “What would so and so do?”
The stand-apart organizations are the ones that go right after the biggest problems– the problems that make me think, “This is my community, these are my neighbors, and this is my country…. we can do better!”
Paul’s one of those leaders and Plymouth’s one of those organizations. And Plymouth is one of those organizations largely because of Paul’s leadership.
Look. Seattle’s full of really really smart people. We all know that. And we also know Seattle’s full of really really compassionate people. But you know what? We get both of those in Paul.
And that’s worth celebrating.
Please join me in thanking an exceptional man for 20 years of positive change in our community. Your donation will go directly to the work of Plymouth Housing Group. And because of Paul’s leadership, it’ll make good things happen, right here in your community…right here at home.
About Plymouth Housing
