What is a virtual barbecue?
A virtual barbecue is a way to connect people online in a fun and meaningful way. No matter where you live, or what you’re doing, you can participate!
How does it work?
Teams from all over Puget Sound can connect and compete to raise money for kids to have a safe after-school space where they can learn, have fun, and feel cared about.
Where does my money go?
All donations go to fund scholarships for Kids Co.’s after-school programs.
Why participate?
Because you get the great feeling that comes from giving back, and by helping kids in your community now, you’ll help make a brighter future for all of you.
How do I know my donation will make a difference?
All donors get a story and photo about a child who’s life you change!

100% of all donations will go directly to Kids Co.

No grilling--just giving! It's a virtual barbecue to help kids get a safe after-school space!

Join me! I’m raising money for the 2012 Kids Co. Virtual BBQ and I need your help. Kids Co. is a leading provider in childcare with 10 centers in the Seattle-area. Spend 15 minutes at any of these centers and you’ll see happy kids learning to ride bikes, bake bread, build robots, and read books. Kids Co. creates a giving space where kids can be kids while they play and learn. You can’t beat that!

Kids Co. also caters to working parents. You’d think that with both folks working sending a child to childcare would be easy. Not so–the cost equates to college tuition (no joke)! Kids Co. believes that any family who wants their child enrolled should be welcome. That’s why they award over $400,000 in scholarships a year.

We need your help! Be part of the team that sends a kid to Kids Co.!

Because a $50 goal just seemed to easy (sent August 17)

Hey Friends and Family,

I thought a $50 goal was just too modest with all the people I know willing to help families obtain quality care in an after school program, so I upped the amount to $100.

We are fortunate enough to be able to cover Mia’s care, but 60% of the kids in her school qualify for a subsidized lunch. If you can help out with $5 or $10 or more you will have my gratitude, as well as that from Kids Co and the families you help.

All supporters will be immune to the unfriend button.

Thanks.

Kids Co. wants the best for children!

Kids Co. is a leading provider of childcare for families in the Puget Sound region. Its welcoming environments give kids the support they need to create lasting friendships, explore the world of play and imagination safely, and discover and nurture their many gifts and talents.
