Help us be the "best in sport" at the 2013 World Games!
Hi everyone, this is Ben Green. If you didn’t already know I have been selected to compete at the Special Olympics Winter World Games in South Korea in cross country skiing in January 2013. My team will be training at Lake Placid, NY in December. This is a really big opportunity for me to represent the USA and my team and I am really excited about it.
Even a small donation can make a big difference for our team, and in return, you’ll get a story about how competing in the World Games changed the life of an athelete like me!
Here are some of the ways your gift can help:
$25 will help buy us food and cover housing while we’re there
$100 will fund one of our athlete’s competition uniforms
$500 will fund training for one athlete at the U.S. delegation training camp in Lake Placid, NY.
$8,500 will cover travel and competition fees for one athlete.
This special event only happens once every two years, so here’s your chance to support a symbol of equality, tolerance, and acceptance–and an event that makes all of us feel like champions!
Home from South Korea (sent February 12)
Hello everyone,
i had a great and awesome time in Pyeongchang, South Korea seeing all the cool sights and walking around Seoul. The competition was tough but great. I came in 1st in the 2.5K and 3rd in the 1K and 5th in the 4 x 1k relay. The coaches were awesome. It was fun seeing different people from around the world. I made lots of new friends on my cross country team from Alaska, Utah, Maine, Pennsylvania, Colorado and lots of other places. Thank you to the people who donated to my cause. I’ll never forget this experience.
Love to all,
Ben Green

Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.
