100 from 1 donor 1000 goal

What is this campaign?
Timmy and its Dominican partner Banelino are working together to increase access to local health care services in Monte Cristi. Your contribution will help to purchase medical supplies and medications for patients treated during Timmy’s medical service trips as well as provide for those requiring chronic treatment or advanced care.
How does it work?
When you make a contribution to this campaign, Timmy will use your donation to invest in patient care. You will receive a story of the impact your donation had after the next medical service team travels to Monte Cristi.
Where does my money go?
Your contribution has the potential to support patient care in a number of ways—whether its supplementing the cost of much-needed medications, helping to finance a surgery, or purchasing medical testing supplies for our clinics, you’ll get a story of how your donation was used to expand access to health care.
Why participate?
The low-income communities in Monte Cristi are home to thousands of individuals suffering from chronic illnesses, malnutrition, STDs and a number of preventative diseases. Because of a lack of financial and logistical resources, these individuals are unable to seek even basic treatment. Your donation will make a difference.
How do I know my donation will make a difference?
Timmy will ensure that you receive a story from the ground detailing how your funds were used to expand access to healthcare to this region and further the movement for global health equity.

100% of all donations will go directly to Timmy Global Health.

Help Karina and I change lives in the Dominican Republic!

Timmy Global Health is an amazing organization that works in several countries all over the world to bring health care and services to those who need it most. We had an opportunity to help Timmy in their efforts in the Dominican Republic as part of a volunteer team which provided medical support to individuals in August, 2012. We intend to return again with another team in May, 2013.
Please join us in helping Timmy Global Health provide medical support by donating to our fundraiser. Your funds will help combat health disparities by providing public health education programs, access to primary care physicians and prescription and over the counter medication as well as transportation, financial support, and follow up care for patients who require referrals and advanced treatment. All of the donated money goes to Timmy Global Health. The volunteers, like ourselves, all pay for their own transportation and lodging while on these medical missions thereby maximizing the ability of donations to help patients. The beauty of Timmy Global Health is they partner with local organizations and physicians to provide ongoing support in a given community. In the Dominican Republic the communities are centered around the city of Monti Cristi. Timmy attempts to send a medical mission there every 3-4 months.
Having been there and served with Timmy Global Health, we can tell you that the need for healthcare services in the Dominican Republic is great. We have seen the positive impact that individuals like you can make even with a small donation. Please join us in supporting Timmy’s work in the Dominican Republic.
If you would like more information, please visit Timmy Global Health’s website (http://timmyglobalhealth.org/) or contact Karina Mehta ([email protected]) or Ashish Mehta ([email protected]).
All donations are tax-deductible.

All the best,

Karina and Ashish Mehta
