Join Shruti in support of Pratham's 2012 Readathon (Dallas-Fort Worth)
Shruti
I was first truly inspired by Pratham when I went to a learning center in intercity mumbai and met some of the kids that Pratham is educating. As the largest educational movement in India, Pratham is incredibly cost effective. In a room smaller than my own bedroom groups of children were sitting on the floor- learning against all odds. It was a real watershed moment as I realized what a big impact a small donation can have on a child’s trajectory in life. Please help me make a difference in India- together we can have a tremendous impact.
In order to thank you for your generous donations I will be reading books throughout the readathon. I plan to read 11/22/63 by Stephen King, The Arab Uprising by Marc Lynch, Zeitoun by Dave Eggers, and also Predictably Irrational by Dan Ariely. I certainly will be reading more and would love to take any suggestions!
Update: I have read some additional books that I would like to share with you!
1. Shataram: A Novel
2. Power of Habit
3. Wednesday Wars
