Every book I read helps educate a child in India
Hi everyone, my name is Shrika. I am truly excited to read and raise money for Pratham USA Summer Readathon 2016 project. My true passion is writing, though reading is what inspires me. I couldn’t imagine my life without books or an education. I want to let kids who don’t have an education or who don’t have books in their life to experience how great it is to read and learn new things. This is why I would like to invite motivated readers to join my team. It will be fun to read books that we enjoy, while at the same time give underprivileged kids an opportunity to receive the proper education that they deserve.
Pratham needs only $25 to educate one child for one whole year. I am so happy that with your donation, my reading will help many other children. I am going to read 20 books. Please support my Readathon by making a donation to Pratham USA today.
Please click on the “JOIN ME” button and enter “Shrika Kantala” as your coordinator and setup your own reader page.If you can’t read but would like to donate please click on “Make Donation” button. It will be tons of fun!! Hope to read along with all you young motivated readers and discuss the books for such a good cause.
Stay tuned for updates!! Happy reading!!
Sincerely,
Shrika Kantala
Best Summer Ever!!! (sent July 30)
I am so happy that I was able to achieve my goal of reading 20 books. Although there was one book I didn’t update; The Ripple by Mandy Hubbard. It was really fun to read all these books and raise money for the underprivileged kids in India. I would like to thank all the people who donated to my page and I would also like to thank all my readers for being a part of my team. This was a really fun summer!! And just thinking of all the kids who will be getting a chance to read and write puts a huge smile on my face. Thanks!!!
