Every book I read helps educate a child in India
Hello,
I am participating in the Pratham USA readathon because I want to help less fortunate kids in India get an education. I love reading and I want to put all of that for a good cause. The money you donate will go to building schools, and for kids to be able to read, write and count. When kids even from the other side of the world come to know that a girl or boy our age has helped us get a education they will feel so thankful for you and happy.
A little bit of money can do so much for one kid to go school for one year or more.Thank You.
Love, Rayna
Goddess Girls Hestia the Invisible (sent August 5)
Hestia feels unseen at her school MOA { Mount Olympus Academy.} When the contest of the humankind comes up, { contest of the humankind is where the humans would pick a god or goddess to worship. } Hestia feels that she wants to be seen. She loves cooking and she also works in the MOA cafe, but nobody knows that some of the MOA recipes are hers. When she shows her symbol a cooking pot she choose for the humankind contest everybody in the class laughed at her. Hestia was the goddess girl of the hearth and the fire. So she could easily make a little fire and flames in her hand. With the help of Pheme the goddess girl of gossip and rumor she spread the word about herself. She soon changes her symbol to a fire in hands. Now most people now her and her recipes. Athena won the humankind contest but that was alright for Hestia. Hestia had made the cake for the humankind contest which was a snowy Mount Olympus. But as for Hestia, one of the main thing that she thought she accomplished was not being so invisible so much any more!!!
