Every book I read helps educate a child in India
Hello,
My name is Palash Sahai. I am 8 yrs old and i am very excited to do this fundraiser again this year. Last year I raised 1280$ and this year i want to go beyond this goal in raising money to support kids who are unable to attend school. My parents believe in me and are proud of me when they see me read books like ‘Harry Potter’. I am going to read 50 books of all kinds this summer. I want to give the same love of reading to other kids and be a role model….just like my sister is for me.
To get to this goal, i am participating in Pratham Readathon 2016. Pratham is a not-for-profit organization that is educating millions of kids in India since it was founded in 1994. It is very well known and has won many international awards for its work in child literacy and education. I want as many kids as possible to attend Pratham schools and learn to read, write and count well. Pratham USA raises funds and awareness in the US for this cause. Please visit www.prathamusa.org for more information.
Pratham needs only $25 to educate one child for one whole year. Please support me and make a donation to Pratham USA today…every little bit helps!
Love,
Palash
