Join Mitalee in support of Pratham's 2012 Readathon (New York Tri-State)
Mitalee
I am a mother of 2 kids, ages 7 and 2. While both of them are too young to understand how some children are not fortunate enough to have a life with two square meals a day and an education, but the readathon is my attempt to instill, in at least my 7-year old, that we all can contribute to the society in many different ways. To me, it can’t be better than reading a book. A book does more to a child than just reading the alphabet. A good book spurs their imagination, helps them think, reach unknown lands and ideas, and contribute to who they will turn out to be.
