Every book I read helps educate a child in India
Hello Friends,
I am Konark Gupta. I am participating in Pratham USA Readathon 2016 because I want to help less fortunate children attend Pratham schools and learn to read, write and count well. Reading is very important to me and i can read ANYWHERE and ANYTIME. My nose is always deep down in a book. Reading has helped me learn a lot and I can never imagine a life where there are no books.
This is why Pratham is important to me; Pratham is a not-for-profit organization that is educating millions of kids in India since it was founded in 1995. It is very well known and has won many international awards for its work in child literacy and education. Pratham USA raises funds and awareness in the US for this important cause. Please visit www.prathamusa.org for more information.
Pratham needs only $25 to educate one child for one whole year. That’s just a little over $ 2 per month. Outside of reading, I am committing to donating my allowance for 2 months to this cause and I hope you too can open your hearts to support literacy. The brain is the strongest weapon we have and I know through your support, we can make all the children develop to be super heroes.
Thank You!
Konark Gupta
