Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children
Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children is a wonderfully strange first novel that is wonderfully crafted by Ransom Riggs. I definitely recommend it!
the Catcher in the Rye
The Catcher in the Rye is a novel whose story follows the thoughts and journeys of the cynical, slightly sardonic Holden Caulfield after he was kicked out of Pencey Academy. Holden is completely fed up by the “phoniness” of the human condition, the lies and the pretenses that we tell to feel accepted by society. Holden has a distinctly cynical output towards the world that is strangely refreshing. His strangely childish yet cynical personality is masterfully woven, and makes the story all that much better to read. The narrative is masterful, the story is clever, and altogether it was an awesome read. I totally recommend it.
