Just back from visiting Gardens For Health in Rwanda
In Rwanda, a country where 85% of the population are farmers, 44% of children under five suffer from chronic malnutrition. This incredible disconnect between agricultural production and healthy outcomes for disadvantaged children is addressed by the work of Gardens for Health. GHI steps in where international food aid leaves off by providing mothers health and nutrition education combined with the seeds and agricultural training to grow their own vegetables in their yards. The model empowers women to provide for healthy vegetables and healthy outcomes for their children and breaks the cycle of chronic malnutrition. If you are a mother, or perhaps a farmer, or just an engaged, thoughtful individual, I would ask you to join me in supporting this important work with a modest donation. Thanks, Archie
