How do you help struggling kindergarteners close the gap before the next school year starts?  By creating a fun, educational, and interactive place to learn–like the Friends of the Children NY Academic Summer Camp.  Early intervention before third grade can dramatically increase a child’s chance of success through the rest of high school, which means a fair shot at success for life.

Another way to help?  Buy tickets to the FriendsNY Summer Happy Hour at Fat Cat on June 27th. 100% of your ticket cost will go to help kids enrolled in this summer’s six-week camp, in ways like these:

~ A donation of $20 buys one admission ticket to the event, and covers the cost of supplies and workbooks for one “Achiever” (camper) for six weeks.
~ A donation of $40 buys two admission tickets, and covers four days of tuition for one Achiever; or a day of adventure outings for four Achievers.
~ A donation of $120 buys six admission tickets, and covers the cost of lunch and snacks for one Achiever for six weeks.

So buy a ticket for yourself, a friend, your roommate, your co-worker, your secret crush–anyone you know who wants to give back (and have a good time).
