Many of you have heard small stories of the work that I do. For the last four years, I’ve been a Counselor at International Counseling and Community Services, and it has been a journey that has been filled with laughter, tears, celebration and much learning! Here’s your chance to be involved in what I am blessed to do everyday.

Join me in helping refugee families! International Counseling and Community Services provides one-on-one counseling and support to survivors of torture, war, and other atrocities. We serve more than 350 clients a year. Most arrive to this country with one suitcase and the hope of building a new life in America. The typical family of 4 at our clinic lives on less than $10,000 a year and for that reason, many basic needs go unmet. This includes basic hygiene items like laundry soap, shampoo, towels, socks, coats and blankets, and life-saving pharmaceuticals.

We are asking for your help! Please consider helping us contact others who share a commitment to providing sanctuary to the world’s most vulnerable people, and asking them to make that adjustment to America just a little bit easier.
