Join Shawn as she climbs Mt. Kilimanjaro to raise funds for education!

35% of Brazilians, or 68 million people, live on less than two dollars a day. This New Year’s Eve my parents and I will be summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro to help change this! We will be raising funds to support the work of ADCAM in Manaus, Brazil to provide education and training to youth that are in the greatest need.

We will trek from December 26th, 2013 through January 1st, 2014. The trek starts at 1950 meters (6398 feet) and summits at 5895 meters (19341 feet) on December 31st, 2013. From the start to the summit of the trek of Kilimanjaro is 3945 meters. This is how I decided on the fundraising goal for the campaign, $3,945.
