Education should never be taken for granted
Hi,
My name is Natalie VanDevanter and I’m a sophomore at Vashon High School. I run cross county and play basketball and I love to cook. I love high school and learning. I want help give this opportunity to those who don’t have it. I have really enjoyed being part of Girls to Girls because it has allowed me to learn about other people’s cultures and lives. In our Vashon group of Girls to Girls I am the secretary, so I take meeting minutes along with helping fundraise and choose who our group is going to give scholarships to. The experience of being in this group has made me realize how lucky I am that I get to go to school every day and that I should never take my education for granted.
Will you help us reach our goal by contributing to the scholarship fund? We are hoping to raise $2,500 to send four girls to school this year. Anything you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you and Happy Holidays!
Sincerely,
Natalie
