Every book I read helps educate a child in India
Dear Friends,
My name is Mayank Shouche and I am participating in the 2014 Pratham readathon. When I was growing up, I was fortunate enough to learn to read and write at an early age. Thanks to that, today, reading is one of my passions. In India, however, there are many underprivileged children that did not have the privilege of learning to read in early childhood. Even though I cannot help change that, I would like to help them become more educated now. However, in order to help those children, I will need sponsors. In return for reading books, sponsors will donate money to the Pratham USA foundations. Pratham sets up camps in India that function as basic schools for children that have not received an adequate education. A child’s education for an entire year can be covered by only a $25 donation. My goal is to read 25 books and raise $500, which will help educate 20 underprivileged children. I look forward to your sponsorship which will help me reach my goal.
Thanks!
Mayank
I Read A Book Called The City Of Ashes (sent August 19)
The book was interesting, and is part of a series of which it is the second book in. I plan to finish the series.
