HELP A VETERAN TODAY

Being the Volunteer Coordinator for the Veterans’ Restoration Quarters (VRQ) is a joy; I am a small part of helping transform the lives of homeless veterans. As a staff member, I have the privilege of seeing lives changed daily. What a pleasure working with the wonderful community of Asheville! I see churches, schools, businesses, individuals and families work together to feed these men three meals a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year in our main building. We have multiple meetings in that building as well as many campus meeting classes for our residents. It virtually never closes.

Year after year, day after day we rely on our community and friends to help us with this great venture. For over 40 years the community has pulled together to work with the needs it’s population. Certainly we are doing that at the Veterans Restoration Quarters as we serve our homeless men.

The bottom line is we need a new roof. Which also means WE NEED YOUR HELP.

The roof has deteriorated past repair. It is critical to the life and safety of these heroes that it be replaced. I am going to help with my own gift and I hope you will you join me in a personal commitment to raise $1,000. The total goal is only $25,000 and I hope you will join me in the worthy cause of putting a new roof over the heads of our veterans.

Would you consider giving a gift of any amount.

Give a donation today instead of a Christmas Gift. Honor a veteran today.... (sent November 14)

We house 250 homeless men. 3 meals a day 365 days a year. Show Christ’s Love and compassion and help us with this project….
