What is TMWF?
Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation (TMWF) is a U.S. based 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization working to empower, promote and support all women and their families through education, outreach, philanthropy and social services. Since 2005 we have provided assistance to women, strengthening the individual, her family and the community as a whole.
Where does my money go?
Every dollar that you donate will directly support the work of TMWF, especially PEACE IN THE HOME social services. We assist women and their families who are struggling irrespective of their background, ethnicity or religion. We also provide assistance to immigrants, refugees, the poor and the victims of domestic violence. Services include 24 hour hotline, case management, crisis counseling, child therapy, services for the elderly, short-term financial assistance, translation in 14 languages, food, clothing and basic needs, Peaceful Oasis Shelter, transitional housing and legal assistance.
Why help TMWF?
The welfare of women and their children, regardless of their religion or race, is the foundation of a healthy community. When you support TMWF you are helping achieve this goal of supporting women and their children by breaking the cycle of violence within future generations. It is a widely proven fact that the majority of abusers were themselves victims of domestic violence. Muslim women that are victims of domestic violence need culturally and spiritually sensitive services to help them and their children. When you support TMWF you are supporting this underserved population!
What is the Peaceful Oasis Shelter?
The Peaceful Oasis Shelter is a 24-hour crisis shelter run by TMWF for women and their children who are victims of domestic violence. It offers women a safe refuge and a welcoming place to start anew. We welcome individuals of all backgrounds, and we are also able to accommodate spiritual, cultural, dietary and language needs of Muslim women not addressed in the mainstream shelters.

Services include: 24 hour emergency hotline and shelter, case management and assistance, counseling, child therapy and legal services.

TMWF means a lot to me because there are many women that TMWF is supporting and who need help! Please don’t turn away from them. Our support will help the Peaceful Oasis Shelter, which can be a lifesaver for these individuals. Donate generously to TMWF for they are a lifeline to women in our community. Don’t let these women and kids go homeless!

One in three women may suffer from abuse and violence in her lifetime. This is an appalling human rights violation, yet it remains one of the invisible and under-recognized pandemics of our time.Violence against women is an appalling human rights violation. But it is not inevitable. We can put a stop to this.

So help me in raising awareness and stepping into the shoes of one of the many women who go through this. Not all of are lucky to have happy homes, lets help them start a new beginning and new chapter in thier life by donating to this amazing cause!

Texas Muslim Women’s Foundation (TMWF) is a U.S. based 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2005. We work to empower, promote, and support all women and their families through education, outreach, philanthropic and social services. We have been providing assistance to women, strengthening the individual, her family and the community as a whole.

TMWF runs a shelter for victims of domestic violence, providing them with a safe place to stay, food and basic necessities, as well as legal and counseling services, among other support. We also have youth volunteer programs in the community and outreach/education programs to establish goodwill, cooperation and friendship among all members in society.
