How much of my donation goes to help Iraqi children?

We are happy to report that 95% of your donation will go directly to help these extremely vulnerable children in Iraq. Only 5% goes for administrative costs. ICF is able to keep overhead low because it US operations are run by volunteers out of donated office space.

How is the Iraqi Children Foundation funded?

The Foundation receives no government funds. It is supported by individuals, families, and businesses who care about the Iraqi children.

Is the Iraqi Children Foundation the same as the Sponsor Iraqi Children Foundation?

Yes. The original name of Sponsor Iraqi Children Foundation was recently simplified to Iraqi Children Foundation (ICF).

Our mission is to assist the people of Iraq by mobilizing a life-changing campaign of love for millions of children orphaned by violence

The Iraqi Children Foundation is a US-based non-sectarian tax-exempt 501(c)(3) charity (26-1394773) founded by two Americans who worked in Baghdad during the war. ICF is proud to support a center for orphans and street children, and to partner with the award-winning Children’s Village of New York to train Iraqi social workers with skills to address trauma in children. Among its other projects, ICF also mobilized an airlift of more than a ton of school supplies and toys for orphans.
