Every book I read helps educate a child in India
Dear Friends,
I am taking part in the Pratham Readathon to collect money so that poor children in India can go to school.
Pratham is a not-for-profit organization that is educating millions of children in India since it was founded in 1994. It is very well known and has won many international awards for its work in child literacy and education. Please visit www.prathamusa.org for more information.
Pratham needs only $25 to educate one child for a whole year. I love to read because when I read I can learn a lot, discover new places, use my imagination and never get bored! I am so happy that with your donation, my reading will help many other children. I am going to read 15 books. Please support my Readathon by making a donation to Pratham USA today.
Thanks!
Aiden
Update #2 (sent July 17)
I finished reading 3 books.
‘Big Nate Flips Out’ was a really funny book. The book is about how Nate keeps getting into trouble. I liked the part where Nate’s friend hypnotizes him to get him to be clean. I too would like to hypnotize someone!!
I liked the Big Nate series so much that I also read ‘Big Nate Game On’ . In this book Nate and his team lose all the games because he is always talking during the game.
My third book was ‘Flat Stanley- Invisible Stanley’ – This was a cool story because it is a story of how Stanley woke up hungry one night during a thunderstorm to eat an apple and raisins and discovered that he was invisible in the morning.
I am going to the library today to find a book on hypnotism.
